10/27/2007 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Los Angeles Kings seek their fourth straight win, and will try to accomplish that task against the Edmonton Oilers tonight at the Staples Center.
The Kings have won their last three games, including the first two tests of a four-game homestand, upping their mark at the Staples Center to 4-3. The residency will conclude on Wednesday versus Columbus.
The club kicked off the stand with a victory over Nashville on Tuesday before besting the Dallas Stars, 2-1, on Thursday. Alexander Frolov scored the game- winning goal in the third period to extend his point streak to seven games (3 goals, 6 assists).
Brian Willsie scored the other goal and Jason Labarbera stopped 29 shots for the Kings, who stopped a nine-game losing streak against Dallas and won for the fourth time in their last five games.
Mike Cammalleri had an assist to up his team-leading point total to 13.
The Oilers play the first of two straight road contests tonight after topping Minnesota, 5-4, in a shootout on Thursday at home. Ales Hemsky scored twice in regulation and registered the deciding shootout tally. His first goal of the night was also the 200th point of his career.
Mark Parrish pulled Minnesota even with 11 minutes to play in the third period, while Shawn Horcoff finished with two goals and two assists to give him a career-high tying four points on the night.
Dwayne Roloson turned away 26 shots for Edmonton, which had lost six of seven coming in.
Edmonton is 1-4-0 on the road this season and will be in Anaheim on Sunday.
The Oilers and Kings split four contests last season, though Edmonton has won five of its last seven versus Los Angeles. The Oilers have also won five of their last eight trips to LA.
